The Galaxy Note 20 combined the productivity of Samsung's iconic S Pen with a large display, powerful Snapdragon 865+/Exynos 990 performance, 5G connectivity, and a versatile triple-camera system. However, Samsung has ended Android OS upgrades for the Galaxy Note 20, and it does not support the latest One UI 9 (Android 17). While it may continue to receive limited security updates for a short period, long-term software support has effectively come to an end. We no longer recommend the Galaxy Note 20 in 2026. Instead, we recommend the Galaxy S23+, which supports the latest One UI 9 (Android 17) and continues to receive security updates. With its faster Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, improved cameras, better battery efficiency, and years of remaining software support, the Galaxy S23+ is a much better long-term choice.
